Liverpool have acquired two players, Georgian goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia and Italian international Federico Chiesa from Juventus.
The club has had a quiet summer compared to other Premier League clubs, but the arrival of a young gem from Chelsea’s academy is imminent.
According to Liverpool ECHO reporter Paul Gorst, England U-16 international Rio Ngumoha has completed the steps required for registration and is expected to join Liverpool’s academy within the next two weeks.
“I asked someone about that last week,”
“He’s going through the Premier League five step registration thing apparently and that takes a little bit of time, but no concerns or issues.”
“He will be part of the academy set up in the next two weeks. He will be a Liverpool player and one who academy staff are massively excited about.”
The young winger, who is highly rated in his generation, had reportedly been linked with a move to Liverpool throughout the summer, but no official announcement had been made.
Since then, he has not been heard from, and many Liverpool supporters are looking forward to the 16-year-old winger’s arrival.
Soon we should be able to see the player playing an active role in the academy, and in a few years’ time he should be a first team player to accompany the first team.
