21-year-old defender Jarell Quansah performed well in pre-season last summer and has been in the first team all season. He has been competing regularly with French defender Ibrahima Konate this season and is currently behind him.
Nevertheless, he is higher in the pecking order than the more experienced England defender Joe Gomez, and supports the team from the back with a calm defensive response that is hard to believe he is in his early 20s. He is mentally calm and it would not be surprising if he becomes captain in the future.
According to Inter Live, Inter Milan like the Liverpool mainstay and recognise him as an ideal target for the Italian club. They have also suggested that they could make a move to acquire him.
The academy-born centre-back started the opening Premier League game of the season, but manager Arne Slot ordered him to be substituted at half-time. Since then, he has given up his regular place to the French defender and has not been getting satisfactory playing time.
However, the season has only just begun. Injuries, turnovers and the like will surely come up, and if he can put in a fine performance there, it is not impossible that he could return as a partner for Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk.
Liverpool would not let go of the defender who has been with them since he was a child and are likely to move to renew his current contract until June 2027. It would be difficult for Inter to acquire him for any price, and a move to Italy is unrealistic.
Many clubs other than Inter would be interested, but Jarell Quansahs future lies at Anfield.
