Whether you stay or not, the best thing is to enjoy it...Kostas Tsimikas mentions three players whose contracts are about to expire Transfers

Mohamed Salah, Virgil Van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold. The team’s most influential players all have contracts expiring at the end of the season. Negotiations continue underwater, but so far there has been no happy news for supporters.

The Greek defender Kostas Tsimikas, who joined Anfield from Olympiacos in the summer of 2020, has spent a lot of time with all three players. He has often been seen on particularly good terms with Salah, but told the players who may leave the team after this season that it is best to enjoy themselves.

“They will enjoy it if they stay or if they go, so I think that’s the only thing [that] matters.”

“It is up to them what they will do. For sure, the guys who leave, we will miss them a lot because all of them, they are many years here.”

“So, yeah. They know what they want from the future but their thinking is always, you know, to enjoy every moment here.”

“I think for everybody, [it] is the most important to enjoy and you don’t know what the future will bring.”

The situation is slightly different for Salah and Van Dijk, who are both over 30 and approaching veteran status, and Alexander-Arnold, who is only 26 and a future captain candidate.

The Egyptian international and Dutch defender have attracted interest from Saudi Arabia and other well-funded clubs, while Real Madrid are keen on the England defender and are keeping a close eye on the negotiations with Liverpool.

While it would be ideal for Liverpool to keep all their players, there may be areas where they just can’t come to terms. So where does their future lie…?
