Liverpool FW Mohamed Salah has scored and assisted numerous goals at Anfield since joining from Roma, but his departure is uncertain. With less than a year remaining on his contract, negotiations with the club continue, but no good news has been announced as yet.

Liverpool acquired Italian international Federico Chiesa from Juventus in the summer transfer window, but he has yet to reach his full potential due to injury. His role is also mainly to relieve Salah’s burden, and it remains to be seen whether he can be seen as an official successor.

And the Merseyside club may move to reinforcements from Juventus for the second year in a row. According to Caught Offside, Liverpool are interested in Turkish international Kenan Yıldız, while fellow Premier League side Arsenal are also keen on the opportunity.

The Gunners are big admirers of the 19-year-old left-winger and are keen to sign a player with his profile to ease the burden on England international Bukayo Saka. He can also act as a second striker or attacking midfielder and plays a dexterous front-line position.

The young attacker, who made his debut for the Turkish national team in October 2023, has gained game experience since his mid-season appearance last season and has been a regular in the starting line-up since the start of the current season. He has started from kick-off in all but two matches so far.

However, Yıldız has only recently signed a new contract with Juventus until 2029 and is reportedly content with life in Turin, with the Premier League club likely to have to offer a large sum if he is to make the move next summer.

He will likely spend the next few years developing his abilities in Italy, but is there a future to be spun by a different storyline…?
