Liverpool interested in ‘Sergio Aguero II’ Costa Rican international Manfred Ugalde Transfers

Born in Heredia, Costa Rica, he played in Europe for Rommel SK and Twente, January 2024.

Manfred Ugalde, a 22-year-old striker who has been at Spartak Moscow since January 2024, has scored six goals in 22 games this season and has quickly developed into a striker of interest to strong clubs.

His low centre of gravity dribbling and scoring ability have led to comparisons with former Argentine striker Sergio Aguero, who also scored a large number of goals for Manchester City.

The player, who could turn into one of the best strikers in the world, has also received interest from Liverpool, Rousing The Kop reported.

He also made his full debut for Costa Rica in February 2020, scoring three goals in 18 games. He scored 11 goals in 23 games for Belgium and 22 goals in 84 games for the Netherlands, and at the age of 22, he could develop dramatically in the future.

There is a strong impression that Uruguayan forward Darwin Nunez is not fully in tune with head coach Slot’s style of play and is struggling as a centre-forward.

Colombian winger Luis Diaz is often given the same position and is dropping down the pecking order.

Despite his small stature with 1.73m, he is a good ball-handler and passer, facing the centre-backs, and there is no denying that he could link up with the winger at Liverpool to further increase his goal tally.

Will the Reds be serious about acquiring a Costa Rican forward who continues to score in Russia?
