Scotland defender Anday Robertson has seen his performances decline this season due to age and fatigue, and with the 31-year-old on the horizon, Liverpool are looking at potential replacement options, with Fulham defender Antonee Robinson and Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez among the targets.
According to CaughtOffside, a new left-back has emerged as a candidate, with Liverpool listing Spanish defender Miguel Gutiérrez, who plays for Girona. The report also mentions that Real Madrid could also move for Alfonso Davies if they miss out on him.
After a long spell in Real Madrid’s lower divisions, in which he only made 10 first team appearances, he moved permanently to Girona in the summer of 2022 and has scored six goals and provided 18 assists in 100 games so far, and has started all but one La Liga game this season!
Last season, Girona finished third in the domestic league and made a significant contribution to securing a Champions League place.
This season has not been as successful as last season, but he is still in a position to challenge for the top places and there are high hopes that he will turn things around in the second half of the season.
