Since joining Liverpool from Olympiacos in 2020, Greek defender Kostas Tsimikas has been on the pitch for over 100 games as a reserve for Andy Robertson.
Unlike the Scottish defender, he rarely gets into the opposition penalty area, but his crosses from the left flank are top class.
Although he is out injured for periods every season, his passionate style of play has endeared him to the supporters and earned him the nickname ‘Greek scouser’.
The 28-year-old left-back, who has won numerous titles with manager Jurgen Klopp, has revealed his goals for the season and declared that he will give his all to come out on top in every game and every competition.
“I’m 100 per cent sure I want to win everything. I think this team can win everything, so every competition ahead is clear for us: we have to win every single game we have ahead and [try] to win every competition.”

Egyptian international Mohamed Salah, who has often shown glimpses of his rapport with the Egyptian national team.
This season, he has continued to perform in a manner reminiscent of his heyday and has been a key player in the team’s run at the top of the Premier League table, continuing to not only score from the right wing but also produce assists.
The Greek defender confessed that Egyptian King is the best attacker in the world, but also mentioned his efforts on the training ground.
