He has been on loan at Middlesbrough this season, making 20 appearances in the Championship.
19-year-old winger Ben Doak is a key player in attack from the right wing. He has recently started to emerge in the Scotland national team and continues to compete at the top level.
His reputation is growing in England, with Crystal Palace reportedly having made an offer, while Ipswich Town, also in the Premier League, have also made a move for him. According to The Athletic, the transfer fee was £16 million, but Liverpool immediately turned down.
Ipswich are in the relegation zone, but they are not that far behind 17th place, and remaining in the Premier League is not a dream.
With a young squad, it’s a good environment for the 19-year-old winger, and he’d much rather be at Liverpool, not knowing if he’ll be on the bench, or swamped with loan spells.
On the other hand, Liverpool are said to be asking for close to £30 million, and Ipswich are being asked to at least double their fee.
So will Ben Doak leave Liverpool and move on to another Premier League club…?
