Liverpool, with manager Arne Slot in charge, are working on building a squad for a new long-term regime.

Serbian midfielder Andrija Maksimovic, who plays for Red Star Belgrade, is one of those rumoured, and has made four appearances for the national team despite being only 17 years old.
The up-and-coming attacking midfielder’s agent, Zoran Stojadinovic, has stated that he has received interest from a number of strong clubs, including Liverpool.

It is not a position of top priority for Liverpool, who have Dominik Szoboszlai, Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones in their ranks.However, only the Hungarian midfielder has the ability to both run for 90 minutes and be involved in chance-making up front.
Elliott’s physique makes it difficult for him to win the ball and he is a little short on speed and other aspects. Jones looks more suited to holding the ball down the line rather than creating chances as an attacking midfielder.
