Alexis Mac Allister, a 26-year-old midfielder now firmly established in the Argentina national team, moved to Liverpool from Brighton in the summer of 2023 and was immediately given a regular role, making 31 appearances last season, scoring three goals and providing three assists.
With Arne Slot at the helm of his new team, he has continued to be a regular starter and has continued to perform consistently as the mainstay of the midfield.
He has established himself as an indispensable player for the club, which is also doing well in the Premier League and Champions League.
The Argentinian midfielder’s father, Carlos Mac Allister, who has represented the country, revealed how he moved to Anfield from Brighton, and a love call from Jurgen Klopp, the manager in charge of the team at the time, was the deciding factor.
