With centre-forwards such as Uruguayan international Darwin Nunez and Portuguese international Diogo Jota beginning to face possible departures, Liverpool are looking for a new striker, and interest in various players has been reported, including Newcastle FW Alexander Isak.
For Liverpool, who are after a tall forward, a Swedish striker who is a scorer who can also utilise the players around him while facing the centre-backs up front would be ideal, but Newcastle will obviously demand an exorbitant transfer fee and the probability of this happening is close to zero.
Liverpool’s scouting team are monitoring their European forwards and are working on a data-driven analysis.
And Ben Jacobs and Daniel Feliciano have told the international media GIVEMESPORT that the Merseyside club likes two players, Brighton forward Joao Pedro and Frankfurt forward Hugo Ekitiké, as a result of data analysis.
“Liverpool’s data-driven scouting has also seen them take a liking to Brighton star Joao Pedro and Eintracht Frankfurt star Hugo Ekitike, with both players scoring strongly in their analysis. Both players are being looked at as potential targets.”
“Pedro, dubbed an ‘absolute superstar’, has registered eight goals and six assists in 25 Premier League appearances this season, while Ekitike has also been labelled a ‘superstar’ after hitting 19 goals and registering seven assists in 39 appearances for the Bundesliga side this season.”
The 23-year-old Brazilian striker has produced results for Watford and Brighton. Throughout his career, he has scored 62 goals and provided 20 assists in 213 games and is expected to step up from the club in the south of England, where he will spend two seasons.
The French forward, who did not bounce that much at Paris Saint-Germain, has awakened in the Bundesliga. He leads the attack with 24 goals and 10 assists in 57 games for the club and has a similar style of play to Isaac.
