Hungarian midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai joined Liverpool from RB Leipzig last summer.
His dynamic style of play, reminiscent of Steven Gerrard, has brought life to the midfield, and with the midfielders who joined at the same time, he has helped Liverpool to shake off their poor form from last season.
With the Carabao Cup already won, Liverpool has the title in its hands.
This is the last season for Jurgen Klopp, the manager of that club, and he still has the possibility of winning the fourth championship. Not only the players, but everyone involved in the team expects it to be their best season at Anfield.
The Hungarian captain, while speaking of his desire to hoist all the trophies he can win, both for his coach and personally, stressed the importance of doing his best in the games that lie ahead of him, with national team games looming and an overcrowded schedule.
“About the gaffer, end of the season, everybody is looking only for the games,”
“We are not thinking about what is happening at the end of the season. We can talk about this at the end of the season.”
“It is a good feeling (to be in the title-race). We already won one (trophy), we have three more left. I want to win all four, but we have to look game by game.”
“We cannot look that far to the end of the season because it is a long way to go. A lot of games, Europa League, FA Cup on Sunday and then, after the national team break, the Premier League starts again. I think we are ready.”
“I think we have a quite good chance, but everyone thinks like this. If you ask the City players, they think they have a good chance, the Arsenal players think they have a good chance. I think we have a good chance but we have to work for it.”
“It is not coming from the air and jumping in your hands, the title. We have to work every game, give your best. Doesn’t matter who is in the first 11, doesn’t matter who comes on from the bench. We are in the team and are ready to fight for each other.”
