Having scored 44 goals and provided 19 assists in 131 games for Wolverhampton Wanderers, Portuguese international Diogo Jota has developed into one of the best attackers in the Premier League, and has continued his scoring prowess when he moved to Liverpool.
A versatile player who can score with either foot or head, he has brought rhythm to the front line as a centre-forward under new manager Arne Slott, scoring eight goals in 22 games this season.
Despite his injury-prone form, his performances on the pitch have been top class. He has been at Anfield for a long time now, and when asked, ‘What does Liverpool mean to you?’ When asked, he revealed that it has changed his life.
“For me it means everything, to be honest,”
“It changed my life completely.”
“My three kids were born here. I have a house here. I’ll always remember in the future even if I don’t live here, this city, this club, the way everybody supported me from the very first day, the club, the fans.”
“I truly believe it’s hard to be in such a good position as I am as a player at the moment and I’m really grateful for that.”
