After joining Newcastle United from Real Sociedad, Swedish international Alexander Isak has become one of the best strikers in the Premier League, scoring over 50 goals in less than 100 games.
The 25-year-old forward, who is now an established scorer, has also scored 15 goals for Sweden and has been linked with a move to Arsenal or Liverpool.
The question of breaching the Profit and Sustainability Regulations (PSR) remains an ongoing one, possibly forcing the club to let go of a key player.
Former Liverpool defender Jon Arne Riise insisted that the old club should strengthen the striker position and said that Newcastle’s ace striker would be the best reinforcement in Arne Slot’s team.
“I’ve seen the rumours saying that you he would love a move to Liverpool as well,”
“Every striker would love to go to Liverpool at the moment when how they play, but I think it would be a great addition to the team.”
“He plays football with a smile on his face, he likes to be creative, he’s quick, he’s very good in front of goal so I think that would be a great signing. If there’s one place I think Liverpool should strengthen or do something in the summer it’s the striker position for sure.”

The presence of Uruguayan international Darwin Nunez is diminishing day by day, with Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz increasingly giving up the centre-forward role. He missed two crucial decisions against Aston Villa and has yet to improve his decision-making.
In slot football, where a forward who is good on the ball and works well with others is a must, the clumsy Uruguayan attacker is not an ideal candidate.
If Liverpool were to sell him, they would need a new ace candidate, and a Swedish striker would be a welcome addition, but would it be an ideal future for Liverpool?
