Liverpool have shown interest in a new left-back after Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas began to underperform.Various players are on the list, with Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez at the top of the list.
And the Merseyside club are also eyeing a long-term side-back replacement. According to Anfield Watch, Liverpool are keeping an eye on Dinamo Tbilisi’s supernova defender Saba Kharebashvili and are continuing to gather information.
Like Georgian goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili, who will play at Anfield next season, the 16-year-old defender from Georgia has been on the pitch for close to 30 games for the first team and has shown his talent in spades.
He has also been selected for the Georgia U-19 national team, having skipped through the ranks and has already made four appearances. He can play at right-back as well as left-back.
He also has experience playing as a defensive midfielder and is highly regarded for his utility.
At the age of 16, English clubs will not be able to acquire him and he will be two years old at the earliest before he is ready to play in the Anfield academy. It would be a smart scenario to keep an eye on him now and sign him when the time comes.
Will the Georgian gem one day join Liverpool, or will he move on to another club…?
