Veteran Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson, who has been with the club since 2011, seems to be accelerating his move to Saudi Arabia. The player, whose heart is set on Al Ettifaq, who has made an ultra-high offer, is expected to hold discussions with Klopp.
Fabrizio Romano’s post revealed that the Middle Eastern club, led by Steven Gerrard, was planning to acquire the player on a free transfer, with two years left on his contract, but Liverpool is expected to demand £10m, although the Middle East club was apparently aiming for a mutually agreed contract termination.

Negotiations continue waiting for player final decision. Al Ettifaq plan was to get Henderson on free transfer but #LFC insist on £10m fee. pic.twitter.com/S2L4rarTFb
A very reasonable amount considering that he is still called up to the England national team in addition to his strong leadership. Although he is a player who can aim for about £15-20m even from his name value, it is only a guess, but it is probably a trend in line with the wishes of a long-serving player.
The Saudi Arabian club is the only one that is not short of financial resources, so the transfer fee should not be a problem. At the time of this report, it is highly likely that Henderson has submitted a transfer request, and negotiations will proceed toward an inter-club agreement.
The remaining problem for Liverpool is the question of succession. In addition to the captaincy part, reinforcement is necessary in terms of position, and the club will probably make a move for Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia and others who have been rumored for a long time… But will they?
