Former Liverpool forward Sadio Mane, who sought a new home at Bayern Munich last summer after requesting a transfer.
He was often used at center forward in the 2021-22 season and was expected to replace the departed Polish international Robert Lewandowski, but did not get hooked on the Bundesliga.
Due to clashes with teammates, he was not in the plans of the leaders and coaches, and a move this summer was likely, but the Senegalese international wanted to stay.
However, the club officially told him that he was not considered to be a member of the team for the next season, which accelerated the transfer frenzy.
The forward is on the verge of a move to Al Nassr after receiving an offer from Saudi Arabia, which has been aggressively reinforcing its squad.
The forward was not positive about going to the Middle East at first, but the names of star players who are moving to the country one after another seem to have gradually changed his mind.
“Sadio Mane in Dubai to complete Al-Nassr move. He’ll earn an annual net salary of €40m. Dealmakers say Mane an example of a player who wasn’t originally open to Saudi, but saw other names come and changed his mind. Bayern making it clear he wasn’t wanted a big factor, though.”
