Liverpool considering offer for Leicester City midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall Transfers

Liverpool’s pursuit of new midfielders in this summer’s transfer window has seen the club add an Argentine midfielder and a Hungarian midfielder to its squad, but the departures of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho have sent the club back into the transfer market.

Recent reports indicate increased interest in Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia and Fluminense midfielder Andre. The former has had two offers turned down, and while it is true that inquiries have been made regarding the latter, it remains to be seen if they will lead to a formal offer.

According to the Anfield Watch, Liverpool have been closely following the development of 24-year-old Leicester City midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and could be in the market for him this summer.

Leicester City will be competing in the Championship in the new season. Dewsbury-Hall grew up in the club’s academy since 2006 and was promoted to the first team in the summer of 2021 after loan spells at Blackpool and Luton Town.

The midfielder, who has five goals and five assists in 80 games and has experience in the Europa League and Conference League, is under contract until 2027 and is known for his play up front rather than in the middle, and is also highly regarded for his ball control and commitment.

He does not fit the criteria of a defensive midfielder that Liverpool is pursuing at the moment, nor does he have the physical strength. It is highly unlikely that Liverpool will make a move for him at this time, and it is impossible to say for sure if he is a good enough talent for the mega club.

He remains an interesting option, though. For Liverpool, which is also looking for a player to fill the position of Thiago Alcantara, who is scheduled to leave the club next summer, a midfielder who can be acquired on the cheap could be a wallet-friendly reinforcement.

The impression is that this is only a rumor, but will there be any surprise reinforcements before the deadline ends…?
