Scottish defender Andy Robertson, who has been a regular left back this season, suffered a shoulder injury during the recent Euro qualifier against Spain and had to be replaced.
After a thorough examination, the club and player decided to have him out of surgery. The surgery was a success, and he will be working hard in rehabilitation to return to the field.
While the period of patience will continue for a while, Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk shared his thoughts on the player.
“Of course [we’ve spoken], I spoke to him when it happened. I’m gutted for him.”
“It’s not nice to have an injury that is bad, the shoulder is hard work, we’ve seen it with Mo, there’s so much work to go through but we are here to support him all the way through and he will be fine. Tough weeks ahead of him.”
