Liverpool’s generational change in the midfielders has resulted in the acquisition of four players, including Alexis Mac Allister. As they move into a new era, they are picking up center backs and side backs in order to revamp the final line, which will be their next reinforcement.
However, it has also been reported that they may be looking to acquire a new defensive midfielder, and the leading candidate is 22-year-old midfielder Andre, who is a member of Fluminense.
Liverpool made a move this summer, but the Brazilian club refused to release him, partly because they were in the midst of the Copa Libertadores.
Neil Jones, an English journalist, updated the club on the player, saying that the chances of Liverpool making another move have diminished and that he would be surprised if he ended up playing at Anfield.
“Liverpool continue to be linked with Andre from Fluminense, but Anfield sources have begun to play down suggestions of a January move,”
“There was definitely interest in the Brazilian in the summer, when contact was made with his club to ascertain the conditions of a potential deal, but the subsequent signings of Wataru Endo and Ryan Gravenberch seem to have significantly reduced Liverpool’s need for another midfielder and as it stands, I’d be surprised if Liverpool were in for Andre in January.”

Young players such as Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones are developing, and if Thiago Alcantara and Stefan Bajcetic, who are out injured, return, the team will have sufficient strength. Center back is still the priority, not the most important position to be reinforced.
Will Liverpool be active in the transfer market this winter?
