Portugal U-21 midfielder Fabio Carvalho joined Liverpool from Fulham in 2022, and although he got his chance to play during the first half of the 2022/23 season, he was unable to play in the second half of the season, as he was on the pitch much less often.
Last summer, he decided to move to RB Leipzig on a one-year loan in order to secure more playing time. However, Liverpool was not happy with his current situation and brought him back this winter.
However, Liverpool, not happy with his current situation, recalled him this winter, but he has had difficulty establishing himself in the first team and is likely to be sent out on loan again.
Dean Jones, an English journalist, reported that several clubs have already made moves to acquire the player on loan, but also said that the club is discussing the next season and beyond.
“I’m told there are already four or five clubs knocking on the door [for Carvalho on loan], and more are expected to do so in the next week or so,”
“Liverpool are having conversations with Carvalho about exactly what they are looking to get out of the rest of this season and, beyond that, what the plan will be longer-term.”
