Liverpool and Man City are also interested...Arsenal made an offer for Joshua Kimmich Transfers

German midfielder Joshua Kimmich is under contract with Bayern Munich until June 2025, but with less than a year until his contract expires, reports are circulating that he is looking for a new challenge and could leave the absolute champions of Germany.

The 29-year-old midfielder joined Bayern from Stuttgart in the summer of 2015, playing as a right back and midfielder. He is an experienced player with a good tactical understanding and the ability to adapt to different styles of play, and is capable of being a mainstay in any team.

With Premier League sides such as Liverpool and Manchester City said to be keen on him, Nacional reported that Arsenal have made an offer for the German midfielder and have taken action to add him to their squad for next season.

Bayern have indicated that they would like to get a transfer fee on the player before he leaves on a free transfer, and he may jump out of the Bundesliga for the first time in his career this summer to play in an overseas league, such as England.

Liverpool acquired several midfielders in the transfer market last summer. The club successfully restructured its midfield, but with former Spanish midfielder Thiago Alcantara expected to leave Anfield when his contract expires, it makes sense for the veteran midfielder to take his place.

But talk of reinforcements is premature. Bringing in a new sporting director and a new coach is the first priority, and it seems unlikely that any moves will be made at this point. In addition, it is hard to imagine bringing in a player who will be 30 years old next year, when it is not a position that must be strengthened.

A proven midfielder in the Bundesliga and for the German national team, will he be ready to take on the challenge of a new country and a new league?
