Despite a string of injuries, Liverpool’s promising youngsters such as Bobby Clark, James McConnell, Jayden Danns, and Lewis Koumas are making a splash.
Others include Harvey Elliott, Connor Bradley, and Stefan Bajcetic are all waiting in the wings and have already developed into regulars.
Liverpool’s academy is beginning to improve, but they are looking to strengthen it further. Last October, Sky Sport Germany’s Florian Plettenberg reported interest from Liverpool in 17-year-old Schalke midfielder Assan Ouedraogo.
He has played numerous games for the German U-17 national team, and his talent has attracted interest from many clubs in Germany and Europe. He is expected to be in fierce competition this summer and is close to making the step up from the Zweite Bundesliga.
According to Italian journalist Rudy Galetti, there has been progress in the race for the young talent, with negotiations with Bayern Munich underway. And while the player is positive about the offer, no offer has been received from Liverpool.
“Bayern are advancing in talks with Ouedraogo.”
“The Schalke04 CM – whose contract expires in 2027 – received a 5-y proposal from Bayern and seems inclined to accept.”
“RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt are still interested in him, while no concrete move from Liverpool so far.”
