Pepijn Lijnders, who is leaving Liverpool at the end of the season, has made a offer to Beşiktaş JK Transfers

Dutch assistant coach Pepijn Lijnders, who is leaving Liverpool at the end of the season alongside Jurgen Klopp, has been working at Anfield since August 2014 after being away for almost six months to coach at NEC Nijmegen.

The Dutch coach, who is looking for his next job, has been one of the favourites to be the next manager of Ajax in his home country and is keen to try his hand at coaching again, but he has sold himself to Turkish side Beşiktaş JK, Sabah reported.

He has coached at PSV Eindhoven, Porto and Liverpool in their academies, and after gaining promotion to the first team in the summer of 2015, he was a member of Brendan Rodgers’ and Klopp’s entourage and helped revive the struggling team.

He has spent most of his coaching career as a coach. His only experience as a coach is the aforementioned 22 games with NEC Nijmegen.

Although not a strong club, he won 11 games during his tenure, with an average winning record of “1.68”, which is neither acceptable nor unacceptable.

Will the 41-year-old Dutchman, who has closely observed the skills of one of the world’s great German captains, take charge of a club somewhere next season…?
