Jurgen Klopp is leaving Liverpool at the end of the season because he has run out of energy. The club’s search for his successor has been underway and they have not chosen Xabi Alonso or Reuben Amorim, but Arne Slott of Feyenoord.
The 45-year-old manager, who led the team to the domestic league title last season and won the Dutch Cup title this season, is open to the challenge at Anfield, and neither the Dutch club with whom he has a contract nor the club’s intention to prevent him from leaving, and both clubs have been engaged in negotiations.
And the appointment of a new coach is now in the final stages. Fabrizio Romano informed that an agreement has been reached on compensation, including an assistant coach, and that the necessary paperwork to complete the deal has also been completed.
“Liverpool and Feyenoord have prepared all the documents for Arne Slot deal to be completed.”
“Liverpool will pay €9m plus €2m for Slot, total package with backroom staff in excess of €13m. Payment terms: one year.”
“Sipke Hulshoff and Ruben Peeters will be part of Slot’s staff.”
