Red Bull Salzburg, whose coach Gerhard Stolber left in April this year, are looking for a replacement for their interim manager. The Austrian powerhouse club, a regular on the European stage, needs someone who can maintain its evergreen squad and also develop youngsters.
The Salzburg-based club are interested in Dutch coach Pepin Lijnders, who will leave Anfield at the end of the season with Jurgen Klopp, and are exploring the possibility of taking over the helm, according to The Athletic.
The current Liverpool assistant coach, who has won numerous titles with the German, has spent most of his coaching career, but has only managed 22 games for NEC Nijmegen.
