Liverpool are on the lookout for attacking players in this summer’s transfer market. In addition to leveraging a stalled forward line in the second half of the season, there may be a few changes to the front line structure, as well as the replacement of a new manager.
There has been reported interest in attackers from various backgrounds, including PSV Eindhoven’s 21-year-old winger Johan Bakayoko and West Ham midfielder Mohammed Kudus.
And Swedish international Alexander Isak of Newcastle, who must pay attention to Financial Fair Play, has also emerged as an unrealistic target.
Ian Doyle of the Liverpool ECHO reported that the player would only leave Newcastle if he himself appealed for a move, but said he would not be surprised if he sought a new home at Anfield.
“I think the only way he leaves Newcastle is if he agitates for a move. I’m not necessarily saying it’s this summer, I don’t think it will be this summer,”
“I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up at Liverpool at one point, put it that way, but he is the kind of player they need and he’s come on a long way.”

Despite his thin physique, he can compete with the strongest English centre-backs, can play in the post and is a decisive force in front of goal, to say nothing of his goal scoring ability. He is one of the top scorers in the Premier League and one of the best strikers in the world.
He would be a centurion if he played for Liverpool, but the chances are infinitesimal. I’d like to see him just once, but it’s going to end up being a pipe dream.
