Over £60m...The transfer fee for Wolves winger Pedro Neto, who was also rumoured to be of interest from Liverpool, is revealed Transfers

As Egyptian international Mohamed Salah approaches 32 years of age, he has been extremely rare to see his left-back overtake him and get close to goal as he did in his prime. Although his speed and sharpness have noticeably decreased, his chance-making ability is high and there are rumours of a positional change next season.

The former Roma forward has received strong interest from Saudi Arabia, and Liverpool are keen to find his successor. Like Salah, the list includes young wingers such as PSV Eindhoven winger Johan Bakayoko, who is known for his ability to cut in from the right wing and score goals, as well as his one-on-one ability with the side-backs.

Portuguese international Pedro Neto, who plays for Wolverhampton Wanderers, is also considered to be one of the candidates, but the transfer fee he will need this summer has been found out. According to The Telegraph, Wolves are expected to demand more than £60 million.

The 24-year-old winger, who has also attracted interest from Manchester City and Newcastle United, cuts through opposition defences with his incredible speed and propulsive dribbling. His ability to initiate fast counters has led to him coming close to scoring several times during the game.

Throughout the Premier League and Europa League, he has made 135 appearances at the Molineux Stadium, scoring 14g goals and providing 24 assists. He has developed into an integral part of the team and has transformed himself to the point where mega clubs are now all interested in him.

However, his injury record is not good – he has spent more than 100 days off the bench every year since the 2020/21 season – and he is not a reliable player throughout the season. He fits the profile of a player Liverpool are targeting, but his injury habits are a concern.

With Liverpool planning to add a new forward in this summer’s transfer window, will they be looking to pluck a player from Wolverhampton Wanderers…?
