Caoimhin Kelleher to leave...The former US goalie is concerned about the position of the Irish GK Transfers

Ireland goalkeeper Caoimhín Kelleher is finding it difficult to secure playing opportunities due to the too-thick wall of 31-year-old goalkeeper Alisson Becker, who is also a defender for Brazil.

He has been looking for more playing time and is now looking realistically set to leave the club in the transfer market this summer.

He is capable of playing regularly for a Premier League club and is expected to receive interest from several clubs, but Nottingham Forest, who made an offer of £15 million this winter, could make a move for him again.

According to the Daily Mail, the club’s manager, Nuno Espirito Santo, rates the player highly and could be serious about bringing him in from Liverpool.

Alisson had a long injury spell last season and performed well in a number of games. He made 26 appearances across all competitions, and has also reportedly raised his asking price, previously thought to be £20 million, to £35 million and re-set it at £35 million.

His performances last season also earned him a place as a defender in the Irish national team, and his appearances have increased to 14. To maintain this growth curve, he could challenge at other clubs.

However, the question is whether they will allow themselves to lose both their second and third goalkeeper at the same time, as Adrian, the third goalkeeper, is returning to Spain.

Will the 25-year-old goalkeeper really leave Anfield this summer…?
