Attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze, who joined Crystal Palace from Queens Park Rangers, has shown his outstanding flair on the Premier League stage and has scored 26 goals and provided 17 assists in 124 games for Selhurst Park.
Along with fellow France U-23 midfielder Michael Olise, he has become a hot property in this summer’s transfer market, with some of England’s best clubs keen on him. Liverpool, who are looking to strengthen their attacker, are said to be one of those clubs and have already made contact with his agent, according to The Palace Way.
The paper also reports that Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur are also keen on the 25-year-old midfielder, who is also part of the England squad for EURO 2024.
As well as playing in midfield, he can also play on the left flank or on the wing. He has developed into one of the best players in the Premier League, combining technique, dribbling, passing and free-kicks with the necessary elements to master an attack.
His ability is not a problem and he is capable of playing for a top club. The challenge is to maintain his conditioning. Adjustment is essential for the continuous part of a long season, but it may not be that big a drawback as he can rotate at a club with a high level of players.
What remains is that Michael Olise is set to move to Bayern Munich. It remains to be seen whether Crystal Palace will accept the departure of the England midfielder, as they cannot afford to lose both of their key attacking players at the same time.
However, at 25, he is approaching the right age to take the next step up the ladder, and will he step up to the new challenge at a new club this summer?
