Brazilian defender Murillo, targeted by Chelsea, is open to a move to Liverpool, Arsenal or Man City Transfers

Brazilian defender Murillo joined Nottingham Forest from Corinthians a year ago in the summer and performed well in his first Premier League challenge. He made 36 appearances over the course of the season and his reputation continues to grow.

Despite his small stature as a centre-back, he is physical and fast and has the footwork and technique required of a modern defender. He is also attractive on the ball from the final line and his passing up front is top class.

According to Metro, Chelsea are on the offensive for the 22-year-old defender, but he is open to joining any of the Premier League’s top clubs and has been open to offers from Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City.

Nottingham Forest’s asking price is believed to be around £50 million, and Chelsea have made an offer that includes the two players, with the clubs moving towards an inter-club agreement. The departure of veteran defender Thiago Silva is also a point of reinforcement.

A relationship with Liverpool was also reported for a while, but has not been heard from since. As of the opening of the transfer window, no media or journalists have reported any interest from the Anfield club and it is likely to remain just a rumour.

Arsenal and Manchester City have also not been reported to have taken concrete action to acquire the player, and for the time being, a move within England would most likely be to Stamford Bridge.

Outside the Premier League, Atletico Madrid are also said to be keen on the Brazilian centre-back, but will he leave the club after only one year at the club…?
