Spain’s national team won the EURO 2024 this summer. The 26-year-old midfielder from RB Leipzig, Dani Olmo, was a revelation at the tournament, scoring three goals and assisting twice. He replaced the injured Barcelona midfielder Pedri and led his team to victory in the final.
The former Dinamo Zagreb midfielder has been one of the most popular names in the transfer market this summer, with several clubs interested in acquiring him even before the tournament started.
Liverpool, who are looking for a new piece to their attacking line-up, have also been keeping a close eye on developments and have reportedly been linked with a move for him.
A release clause in his contract has expired and a move seemed unlikely to materialise, but Fabrizio Romano said the Bundesliga club would be willing to sell for around the same price. A battle is likely to develop between Barcelona, Bayern Munich and the English side.
“Dani Olmo will be allowed to leave by RB Leipzig even in the next weeks with proposals in the region of €60m, same as clause expired.”
“His agents have spoken to Barça, Bayern (if Doué-Simons options collapse), Premier League clubs (no talks with City so far).”
“Race open.”
