There are no negotiations with any club...Sociedad president stresses that Takefusa Kubo will remain Transfers

Liverpool’s search for a successor to Egyptian international Mohamed Salah continues with interest in the young European winger. It is not easy to find a replacement for the team’s ace, who has scored and assisted a lot of goals at Anfield.

In such a situation, a surprising piece of news came out of Japan. Liverpool are in talks to sign Japanese midfielder Takefusa Kubo and have prepared a release clause of over €60 million and are finalising a salary of €15 million per year.

However, the reported sum is too much for a midfielder who scored seven goals last season and is not a decision-making or goal-running type of player.

The rumours have died down, with credible media and journalists also reporting that no moves have been made at the moment.

The president of his club, Real Sociedad, Jokin Aperribay, has also stated that he envisions a future with the 23-year-old midfielder and wants him to stay.

He also said that he has not started talks with any clubs and denied rumours of a move to Liverpool.

“There is no issue. There are no negotiations with any club,”

“We are in the transfer market, anything can happen.”

“But Take is very happy at Real and will stay.”

“We love Kubo very much, we hope he stays at Real forever.”
