Galatasaray forward Barış Alper Yılmaz performed well for the Turkish national team during the EURO 2024 tournament and quickly became a popular brand name; he scored seven goals and assisted 12 others in 55 games in the domestic league last season.
He showed his ability in a match against the Dutch national team. Liverpool’s scouting team is also increasingly evaluating the player, with the Turkish side leading the way in reporting their interest in him.
Christian Falk, a German journalist, updates the transfer information surrounding the 24-year-old forward. He wrote that despite the interest of Bundesliga sides such as Borussia Dortmund, Frankfurt and RB Leipzig, Liverpool would be no match for him if he were to act.
“Dortmund has Barış Alper Yılmaz on their shortlist – that’s true. It’s not concrete at the moment,”
“The rumours about Frankfurt and Leipzig aren’t as concrete as is the case at Dortmund.”
“If Dortmund needs a new striker, in case they sold Füllkrug, it would be an option, but I think Liverpool don’t have to be afraid of the German teams!”

Liverpool’s search for a successor to Egyptian international Mohamed Salah could bring in a new attacker this summer transfer window.
Their main target is a left-handed right winger, but they are also interested in left wingers, like Newcastle winger Anthony Gordon.
Although it is unlikely that Liverpool would touch the Turkish attacker at the moment, they could get him for less money than other candidates, so maybe they might.
