19-year-old midfielder Bobby Clark, who joined from Newcastle three years ago, is expected to be the next generation of midfielders in Jurgen Klopp’s regime and has made 14 first-team appearances. He scored his first goal for Liverpool in last season’s Europa League against Sparta Prague.

However, the departure of the German manager has cast a pall over the player’s future. Pepijn Lijnders, who left with Klopp to take charge of Red Bull Salzburg, has been trying to acquire the player and offered £6 million for him last week.

According to DAVEOCKOP, the Austrian club are still in negotiations and are doing everything in their power to bring the young 19-year-old attacking midfielder into the team, with a Liverpool exit looking increasingly likely.

Originally, the club were looking to secure him on a loan move, with other clubs such as Bristol City, Portsmouth and Norwich City also exploring the possibility of a deadline day move. However, only Salzburg have switched to a full transfer and are close to landing a potential starter.

Fabio Carvalho is moving to Brentford, while youngsters Tyler Morton and Ben Doak have also been linked with moves, as new manager Arne Slott looks to sort out his first-team squad.

So will the former Newcastle midfielder move to Austria this summer…?
