In the second half of the 2022/23 season, he moved to Bristol Rovers on a six-month loan. Playing outside Liverpool for the first time, 21-year-old defender Jarell Quansah has developed rapidly and quickly made his way into the first team last pre-season.

He made 34 appearances throughout the season and is now regarded as one of England’s most promising young centre-backs. He started the opening Premier League game of the season and manager Arne Slott has praised the player’s potential.

Liverpool were in talks to sign a new contract to keep hold of the young talent. And the Warrington-born defender has pledged his loyalty to Anfield by agreeing to sign a long-term contract with the club where he grew up from the age of five.

The England U-21 defender opened up about the contract agreement and said that he is the happiest he has ever been. He also said that Liverpool, with its top players, is the best place to develop.

“I couldn’t be happier at this minute.”

“I think the way the new manager has come in, his coaching style has definitely been a massive part of that and I think it is the best club in the world for me to develop at and become a better player.”

“I think the players around me, who I’m looking to work hard off and listen to, I think they’re the best in the position at the minute. So, like I said, there is probably no better place I could be.”
