Hugo Larsson, the 20-year-old midfielder who sought a new home at Eintracht Frankfurt from Malmo FF during last summer’s transfer window, made 38 appearances last season throughout the Bundesliga and Conference League and has developed a reputation in Germany.
The gem of a player, who has also made six appearances on the pitch for the Swedish national team, has been an absolute stalwart this season.
He has contributed to the club’s continued rise to the top of the table, and his performances have attracted the attention of the Premier League as well as Germany.
Sky Sport Germany’s Florian Plettenberg reported that English clubs are interested in him, naming Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur as specific clubs, while the Bundesliga has also expressed interest.
“Several top clubs are monitoring Eintracht Frankfurt’s rising star Hugo Larsson.”
“Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Liverpool, and Tottenham, have the 20y/o central midfielder on their radar. Top Bundesliga clubs are also keeping an eye on him.”
“However, Larsson feels comfortable at Eintracht Frankfurt and recently extended his contract, which does not include a release clause, until 2029. Frankfurt want to keep him in summer.”

Arne Slot’s new Liverpool manager has also pursued a defensive midfielder this summer. Although they have converted Dutch midfielder Ryan Gravenberch and have full confidence in him, strengthening their midfield is seen as a top priority.
So will Liverpool join the battle for the young Swedish talent and bring him to Anfield in the future…?
