20-year-old midfielder Stefan Bajcetic was a promising prospect in Jurgen Klopp’s regime and made 11 Premier League appearances in the 2022/23 season.
He missed last season through injury, but it was thought that he would be back in the first team with new manager Arne Slot.
However, the 20-year-old young defensive midfielder found it difficult to secure a place in the new system and joined Red Bull Salzburg on a one-year loan.
He is steadily gaining experience at the club, where Pepin Lijnders, who was assistant coach at Anfield until last season, has taken over as manager.
The Spanish midfielder, who is working hard to develop his career in Austria, revealed that he keeps in touch with his contractual partners Liverpool on a weekly basis when asked how often he keeps in touch with them. Merseysider also gives him instructions for a full-fledged return from injury.
“Yes, yes, they are in contact with me practically every week,”
“They are asking me how I am and physically giving me gym guidelines so as not to relapse [with injury].”
“After such a long injury I need to play,”
“I made the decision to go to Salzburg because I thought I was going to get minutes and I’m getting them.”

Although his results have not improved, he has played three matches in the Champions League. He has also played for Spain’s U-21 national team, and expectations are high for the potential he still holds.
He will be looking to make more appearances in the starting line-up and play on the European stage in the future.
Depending on how well he develops this season, he could be a good fit for the Dutch boss at Anfield next season.
On the other hand, although he is of Spanish origin, he could also choose to represent Serbia, as his father Srđan Bajčetić is Serbian.
Nevertheless, the Spanish U-21 midfielder has spoken of his attachment to Spain and is aiming to go straight to the country’s full national team.
“I was born in Spain, I grew up in Spain, my family is from Spain and I feel very Spanish, very proud to represent Spain,”
