Liverpool have some of the best forwards in the world, including Egyptian international Mohamed Salah, who has fully recovered this season, and Colombian international Luis Diaz, whose scoring ability is increasing, but their eyes are on the future.
According to Caught Offside, Liverpool are interested in Brazilian U-23 international Gabriel Pec from the Los Angeles Galaxy. Also from the Premier League, Arsenal, Newcastle United, Crystal Palace and Wolverhampton Wanderers are also reportedly interested.
The 23-year-old left-winger arrived in the USA from Vasco da Gama in January 2024. He plays mainly on the right wing, but can also play as a left winger or attacking midfielder.
He got his big break in his first season with the club, scoring 21 goals and assisting 18 in 40 games last season.
He is a decisive player with his dribbling and passing skills, and he can also shoot himself. He can also shoot himself and has the ideal ability and results to succeed Egyptian King, who will be 33 next year.
A concern is his lack of experience in European football. He has done numbers in Brazil and Major League Soccer, but it is difficult to judge whether he can cope with the high intensity of English football as it is.
Ideally, he should gain experience in mid to lower Premier League teams such as Crystal Palace or Wolves.
At the moment, the chances of Liverpool making a positive move are slim, but will the Brazilian attacker leave the USA after just one year to try his luck in the top flight…?
