In addition to those who joined Liverpool in their mid-teens, the overall level of the squad is on the rise, with players continuing to develop in the academy from an early age, as well as those who joined Liverpool in their mid-teens.

According to The Mail, Liverpool are looking at new youngsters and could move for 17-year-old forward Trey Samuel-Ogunsuyi from the Sunderland U-21 team. The report also says that the time is unknown whether it will be this winter or next summer.

The attacker, who has also been selected for the Belgium U-19 national team, has been highly decisive this season, scoring eight goals in seven games.

He has also been on the bench for three games for the first team in the Championship and has experienced competitive football up close.

He has signed a professional contract with Sunderland until June 2026 and the Merseyside club will need to agree a transfer fee.
