Turkish international Kenan Yıldız, who played for Juventus’ first team last season, is one of the most promising prospects in Europe. There have been rumours of interest from Liverpool, who are looking for a long-term successor to Mohamed Salah.
The new season has seen him transform into an even more central figure, with four goals and five assists in 24 games so far through Serie A and the Champions League. He has started most of his games and has secured a regular place at the prestigious club at the age of 19.
According to Italian outlet Corriere Dello Sport, the Merseyside club are preparing 40 million euros for the young attacker, who has also pitched for the Turkish national team in 17 games, and are exploring the possibility of acquiring him.
With a contract just renewed in August 2024, a move in the near future is not very realistic. Nevertheless, Juventus are keen on acquiring Newcastle’s Italian midfielder Sandro Tonali, and have also reportedly said that they may sacrifice the German left winger in order to secure their budget.
Originally he was often used as an attacking midfielder or second striker, but this season he has switched his main position to left winger in earnest. His talent has blossomed and mega clubs, not just Liverpool, are keen on him.
As a left winger, he is unlikely to be a direct replacement for Egyptian King, but will the Reds be looking to the Turkish attacker who is making his mark in Italy…?
