With the departure of the great Jurgen Klopp, there were concerns about how the team would fare with Arne Slot at the helm, who, despite his achievements in Holland, had no experience in the top flight, but the Dutchman has dispelled them with his brilliant handling of the game.
The team is still going strong, leading not only the Premier League but also the Champions League.
The season is now at the turn of the millennium and although some games are showing signs of fatigue, the coaching staff and players are adept at making in-game adjustments, and often win games in reverse order.
Former England international Gary Lineker, who has played for Leicester City, Everton and Tottenham Hotspur, predicts the Premier League champions this season and says no club will be able to stop Liverpool’s momentum.
“I think it’s hard to envisage Liverpool letting this slip.”
