Liverpool forward Luis Diaz has been active as a centre-forward this season. He quickly adapts to his new position and brings fluidity to the team, not only stretching up front, but sometimes returning to midfield to take part in the build-up.
His rhythmic style of play may be influenced by the music he plays and his relationship values.
Last June, he appeared in the music video ‘EL RITMO QUE NOS UNE’ by another Colombian singer, Ryan Castro. The video has been viewed 110 million times on Youtube.
Revealing the secret story behind the collaboration, the 28-year-old winger admitted that he was approached by the other side and immediately agreed to participate due to his love of music.
He also confessed to having a mini-studio at home and hinted at the possibility of entering the music industry in the future.
“They asked us if we wanted to participate or collaborate,”
“Of course I said yes because I’ve always been attracted to music, I’ve always liked it.”
“I think it was a couple of days before flying to the US for the Copa America, he came to the hotel with his team, set up a studio there and in like 20 or 30 minutes we recorded our bit and just like that, very fast, we did our recording and it came out really nicely.”
“Then they sent it to us and told us it would be released in two days, so very fast,”
“We shot the video very quickly, in about an hour. It was ‘bacano’, it was very cool. The song also performed really well and we had a good tournament as well.”
“I don’t know, that’s a good question,”
“I have a mini studio set up at home, a small piano. But for now I’m fully focused on what I want on the pitch, and we’ll see in the distant future maybe. I do like music a lot.”
