Hungarian midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai made the step up to Liverpool from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2023.He remains a key figure in the new Liverpool under manager Arne Slot and has already made over 30 appearances.
He played as an inside-half in Jurgen Klopp’s regime, but has taken on the role of attacking midfielder under the Dutchman’s leadership. He has the stamina to run until the end of the game, adds rhythm to the attack and poses a threat to the opposition with his powerful midfield shots.
Although he is still a midfielder, the 24-year-old Hungarian midfielder, who has changed position slightly, revealed the difference from last season and said that there is more emphasis on offence this season. He also revealed that coach Slott had a big impact on his play.
“It’s different. Last year I was playing as an eight and I think more as a defensive part of the game than offensively,”

Although the likes of Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones are waiting in the wings, it is difficult to offer the same style of play. There is an impression that the burden on the player is increasing, but he has still performed tirelessly in many games.
Although fatigue may become more noticeable towards the second half of the season, Szoboszlai has stated that his goal for the season is to lift trophies in the Premier League and the Champions League.
