Liverpool is willing to offer Darwin Nunez as a trade partner for Alexander Isak Transfers

Uruguayan international Darwin Nunez is not into coach Arne Slott’s preferred style of play and often disappears for periods of the game. Flexible players such as Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz have been prioritised and have not been able to grab a regular place in the team.

The 25-year-old striker has also received offers from Saudi Arabia in the winter transfer window, but Liverpool are said to be open to selling him. And Football Insider reported that they are considering offering the Uruguayan forward to Newcastle United for Swedish international Alexander Isak.

The 25-year-old striker, who has scored a number of goals at St James’ Park since his Premier League challenge from Real Sociedad, has been highly determined this season and has an impressive 19 goals to his name after 29 games.

With 15 goals in 50 games for Sweden, he is regarded as one of the best scorers in the world, and with a contract that runs until June 2028 and a reported £100 million fee on the table, the club are keen to include Nunez as a trade piece in order to lower that price.

Arsenal are also keen on the versatile striker, who can score as a centre-forward and make the most of his surroundings, despite his frequent injury lay-offs. A Premier League-to-Premier League battle could develop, and the asking price could be raised even higher.

The Merseyside club are also interested in England international Anthony Gordon, also of Newcastle, but will they really invest all their money in the Swedish forward…?
