Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk is in talks with Liverpool, but no agreement has been reached at the moment and he is not sure if he will still be at Anfield next season. He is also approaching a generational change at the age of 33.
Ahead of next season, Liverpool are also rumoured to be looking for new centre-back reinforcements, with various young defenders making the media rounds.
And following Georgian goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili, reinforcements may be carried out from Valencia for the second year in a row.
According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, Liverpool are keen on the club’s Spanish U-21 defender Cristhian Mosquera and could be serious about acquiring him in the summer transfer window.
The 20-year-old centre-back, who is under contract until June 2026, has been a key player this season and has made 28 appearances in La Liga and the Copa del Rey.
He continues to show high potential despite the team being involved in a relegation battle.
The young centre-back is said to be of interest to the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City, but will he leave Spain at the end of the season to challenge for the Premier League…?
