Andy Robertson is a left-back who has had a successful career in Scotland with Queens Park and Dundee United. He then experienced the Premier League with Hull City before making the step up to Liverpool in the summer of 2017.
After spending almost eight years at Anfield, the Scottish defender is already 31 years old and has seen a decline in his performances in consecutive games this season.
Furthermore, reserve Kostas Tsimikas has also failed to produce the level to warrant a regular role.
In light of the current situation, the Merseyside club are looking to strengthen their left-back, and there have been rumours of interest in various defenders, with Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez being the leading candidate. Robertson referred to the swirling speculation and said he would only believe in himself no matter who joins.
“I think we’ve been linked with pretty much every left-back in the world,”
“But, look, that’s part and parcel of it. You play for one of the biggest clubs in the world and you’ve been very lucky.”
“Well, I wouldn’t put it down to luck – but I look back on these eight years that I’ve had here as the starting left-back at one of the best clubs in the world for that long and that’s something I’m very proud of.”
“Your time comes,”
“I don’t think it’s my time yet but whatever happens with the club and whether we do bring in somebody or we don’t bring somebody in then so be it. I think I’ll always back myself.”

More than the Glasgow-born defender, the Greek defender has been rumoured to be leaving the club.
The veteran defender, who is captain of the national team, is likely to remain at Anfield after next season and support the players around him while giving them a proclamation.
The biggest question is who will come in at left-back, which has been identified as a key area of reinforcement. Which of Liverpool’s numerous targets will Liverpool end up signing?
