Liverpool and RB Leipzig are looking at Spanish U-19 forward Assane Diao Transfers

While discovering local players at the academy, Liverpool continues to acquire promising teenage players such as Harvey Elliott, Kaide Gordon, Bobby Clarke, Ben Doak, and Calvin Ramsey, and scouting for young talent around England.

It seems that a new player has been added to that list. Liverpool, who have been generous in their investment in young players, are keeping a close eye on the development of 17-year-old Assane Diao.

He plays for Betis Deportivo, the reserve team of Real Betis, and are checking on the Spanish U-19 winger, whose contract expires next year with RB Leipzig, according to the AS.

The winger scored four goals and provided two assists in 20 games for the Segunda Federacion last season. He plays mainly on the left wing, using his athleticism to break through behind the final line and create chances from the left flank.

At 17 years old, he is not in a hurry yet, and should take one step at a time. Negotiations are ongoing with the club, and although no formal agreement has been reached, the most realistic course of action at this point is for him to stay.

However, if negotiations run into any difficulty, time is running out and a free transfer could be made next summer. RB Leipzig, with its reputation for developing young players, has the advantage in securing playing time, but a move to Liverpool would also be an interesting option.

Will the young Spanish talent leave his current club and seek a new home?
