Liverpool, which has been aggressively reinforcing its midfielders, has also shown interest in a left-handed center back.

They have made steady progress in strengthening their midfield after failing to do so last season, and despite the departure of veterans such as Jordan Henderson and James Milner, they are beginning to have a promising squad for the new season.

As much as the Saudi Arabian clubs have been reinforcing their squads in a fearsome manner with their abundant financial resources, the departure of Paris Saint-Germain’s French international Kylian Mbappe has been the focus of much attention in this summer’s transfer market.

Last summer, the Frenchman canceled his move to Real Madrid at the last minute and remained at Paris Saint-Germain. This summer, the focus is on whether or not he will renew his contract, which expires in June 2024, and the whole country is working to keep the former Monaco forward.

While a blockbuster offer is said to have been received from Saudi Arabia, Liverpool is rumored to be interested for some reason. As is the fate of all powerful clubs, team manager Jurgen Klopp laughed off the news, explaining that he cannot match them financially.

“Mbappé and Liverpool links? We laugh about it! I can say that I think he’s a really good player, but the financial conditions don’t suit us at all”

“That would be 1st time in 8 years that someone else from the club is preparing something and wants to surprise me.”

A huge salary is required to secure a French national team striker, and a lot of other money is needed as well. Realistically, only four clubs (Real Madrid, Manchester City, and Chelsea) would be able to sign him, and the rest would be in the Middle East or the United States.

Furthermore, with a front line full of attackers, signing a forward is not a critical issue. Dare I say it, the question of Mohamed Salah’s successor is smoldering, but Mbappe is unlikely to be looked at as a replacement.

Will the French national team ace, who has become a boisterous player in recent years, decide to stay in France, or will he seek a new home at another club…?
