20-year-old midfielder Tyler Morton had a breakthrough season in the 2021/22 season, playing in the Premier League and Champions League. Last season, he spent a year on loan at Blackburn, making 40 appearances in the Championship.

It appeared that he would be attached to the first team this season, but an injury kept him out of preseason, and with 18-year-old midfielder James McConnell’s impressive play, coupled with the addition of Ryan Gravenberch, he was a candidate for release.

After receiving multiple expressions of interest from the Championship, he was offered a spell at Hull City, where he will spend the remainder of the season on loan for one year on the East Coast of England.

After finishing 15th in the Championship last season, he is aiming for a top finish this season. He will play alongside Manchester City’s Liam Delap, an England U-20 international who is also on loan at the club.

Will Tyler Morton be able to have a good second year and play for a first team or Premier League club next season?
